LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Every year across 08 zones Life Insurance Corporation, an Indian government-owned insurance and investment corporation recruits thousands of graduates to their service. With a gross pay of Rs. 40080, LIC Assistant is one of the best options to start your career. For the selection process, LIC conducts twos stages of online test, local language proficiency test, and medical test. The shortlisted candidates from the Main exam will have to appear for a medical test. LIC Assistant Age Limit
Candidates’ ages shall be between 18 years and 30 years as of September 01, 2021. The maximum age shall not be more than 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than February 02, 1991, and not later than February 01, 1999, both days inclusive only are eligible ). Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) / Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCO)/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) /Confirmed LIC employees/ shall be as under :

LIC Assistant Educational Qualification
Candidates should have completed graduation in any stream from any UGC-recognized university or its equivalent. Ex-servicemen who have 10 years of service are eligible to apply if they are completed Higher Secondary School qualification (10+2), and if they have put in at least 15 Years of service they can apply with matriculation qualification. Service persons who have completed 15 years of service with the Indian Army special certificate exam or corresponding examination in the Air Force and Navy are also considered equivalent for LIC assistant exam qualification.

LIC Assistant Nationality
Candidates who are applying for the LIC Assistant examination must be a citizen of India. Otherwise, the application of the candidates will be terminated by the commission.
- Local Language Proficiency: Applicants should know the local language of the State/ UT for which he/ she is applying. Shortlisted candidates are required to prove their knowledge in the Official Language of the respective States, before joining. The local language proficiency will be tested by administering a qualifying test of 25 marks. A candidate belonging to the general/ unreserved category has to secure a minimum of 10 marks to qualify for the test, and those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD categories need to secure a minimum of 9 marks to qualify for the test. Those who do not secure minimum qualifying marks in the test for the Official Language of the State would be disqualified.

How to Apply for LIC Assistant Exam 2022?
The application for the LIC Assistant examination has to be made using online methods. The application portal will be open as the commission publishes the official notification through the official website.
Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website of LIC @www.licindia.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration’.
If you are a first-time user, click on the ‘Click here for new registration’.Enter all the details and register. You will be provided with a registration number and password after the completion of the registration process.
Step 3: Fill in the Application Form
You will be asked to log in to the portal to fill the application form. The scanned copies of the photograph and signature are to be uploaded here.
Step 4: Cross-check the details and hit the submit tab. You will not be given a second chance to make changes to the details given.
Step 5: Make the payment of the application fees.
You can make the payment using the online payment gateway. Once the payment is made, you will receive an e-receipt and the application form will be generated.
Step 6: The LIC Assistant application form download can be done. Take a printed copy of the LIC Assistant Application Form for further reference.
Application Fee for LIC Assistant 2022
After submitting the LIC Assistant application form, the candidates should pay the application fee, for the application process to be completed. The payment can be done using a Credit/Debit card or Net banking or other wallets.

- There will be no negative marking in the prelims exam.
- English/Hindi language test marks will not be counted or considered for the ranking.

- The marks scored in the mains exam will be considered for the final merit list.

- There is a negative marking scheme where the incorrect answers will be given 1/4th negative marks of the marks assigned.
