AAI ATC JE Selection Process 2025
The AAI ATC JE Selection Process 2025 is designed to thoroughly evaluate candidates to ensure that only the most qualified individuals are selected for the highly responsible role of managing air traffic control at Indian airports. The selection process consists of multiple stages, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT), document verification, medical assessments, and background checks.
1. Application Form & Eligibility Check

1. Educational Qualification:

Full-Time Regular Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics; OR

Candidates must have minimum proficiency in spoken and written English at the level of 10+2 standard (i.e., the candidate should have passed English as one of the subjects in 10th or 12th standard).

- The degree should be obtained from a recognized university or apex institution recognized by the Government of India (e.g., IITs, IIMs, XLRI, TISS, etc.).
- Pass marks or equivalent for Bachelor’s Degree.
- Candidates with B.E./ B. Tech/ B. Sc. (Engg.) degrees are eligible to apply where a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- Departmental candidates with degrees obtained through part-time/correspondence/distance education mode are also eligible to apply, provided the degree is recognized.
2. Age Limit & Relaxation:

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit. The OBC category should be in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of India.

PwBD Candidates: 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates with disabilities relevant to the post, supported by a Certificate of Disability issued by a competent authority before 24.05.2025.

2. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

6. Training
Selected candidates will undergo a training period, during which they will be paid a basic salary along with admissible allowances. However, they will also have to sign a surety bond for ₹7 lakhs, committing to serve the Airports Authority of India for a period of 3 years after completing their training.
7. ICAO Language Proficiency
As part of the training process, candidates must attain a minimum ICAO language proficiency level 4 (Operational) for the issuance of an ATC license. If a candidate is unable to achieve this proficiency level during the training, their services will be terminated.
8. Final Appointment
After successful completion of the training and attaining the necessary ICAO proficiency, candidates will be officially appointed as Junior Executives in Air Traffic Control and will be liable to be posted anywhere in India.
