The Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II is a General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-gazetted, Non-Ministerial) posts. The IB ACIO Grade-II post involves All India Service liability, so the candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply. Selected candidates will get hired in the pay scale of Rs. 9300- Rs.34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200 (PB-2) with admissible Central Government allowances under the seventh pay commission. Generally, graduates from all streams below 27 years are eligible for the ACIO posts. IB ACIO Eligibility Criteria
The Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade-II/ Executive) i.e. ACIO-II (Exe) in IB (Ministry of Home Affairs),
Government of India posts are not reserved for any category of physically handicapped (HH, OH, VH) persons. Hence, they NEED NOT apply. Selected candidate’s appointment to the post will be temporary only. However, appointment in permanent capacity will depend on various factors governing permanent appointment in such posts in force at that time.
To get hired as the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in IB candidates have to complete the training successfully. Successful completion of training is mandatory, and there will not be any relaxations for any candidate in this regard. The candidate’s eligibility in terms of age limit, essential educational qualification, caste/category etc. will be determined on the application closing date. The candidate must be a Graduate or equivalent from a recognized university on or before the closing date, i.e., the candidates final result must be out on or before the closing date (till 23: 59 hours) and he/she must have been declared successful in it. Otherwise, the candidate’s application will get rejected without any further communications.

IB ACIO: Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification: The candidates must be a Graduate from a recognised University with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate.
Desirable: The candidates should know about computers.
Intelligence Bureau ACIO: Age Limit
The candidate’s age shall be between 18 years to 27 years. The relaxations in age limit for candidates from different categories shall be as follows:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates (i.e, 32 years) and by 3 years for OBC candidates (30 years).
- Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates’ up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3
years of regular and continuous service. - The age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years for general candidates and up to 40 years for SC/ ST candidates in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
- The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for candidates who were domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir from January 01, 1980, to December 31, 1989, as well as the children and dependents of victims of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat as per the Govt instructions in this regard issued from time to time.

ACIO Written Test Centres
The IB ACIO Grade- II selection process has two-stage written examination followed by the personal interview. Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct the written examination in the following 33 centres across India;
