IB ACIO Selection Process 

Candidates applying for the IB ACIO Posts will be selected based on the following criteria:

• Written Examination
• Interview

IB ACIO Exam Pattern 2021

IB ACIO exam pattern is different for different stages. The Tier 1 of IB ACIO exam is objective test. Each section of the test carries 25 marks. Total marks of the test is 100. Total duration of the exam is 60 minutes. For correct answer, one marks will be awarded to candidates. For wrong answers, ¼ marks will be deducted. Tier 2 comprises conventional type questions. The total marks of the exam are 50 and are conducted for 60 minutes. The Interview carries total 100 marks.

• Tier  1 – will be an Objective type test.
• Tier 2 – will be a Descriptive Test.

The interview carries 100 marks. In the interview, candidates are judged based on their intelligence and personality.

Selection of candidates

• All registered candidates are required to appear in Tier 1 exam.
• Candidates qualifying the Tier 1 exam are called for Tier 2.
• On the basis of their combined performance in Tier 1 and 2, candidates are shortlisted for the interview.
• Based on the performance in Tier 1, 2 and interview, candidates are shortlisted for final selection subject to document verification.

IB ACIO Tier 2 Syllabus 2021 

The Tier 2 is a descriptive test and consists of English Language and Writing Skills. Candidates must check their grammar, vocabulary and general awareness. Questions are given on Precis, Comprehension & Essay Writing. For Essay writing, candidates must check for Emergency Trends in India, Security Threats in India and Cultural Diversity of India.

IB ACIO Exam Marking Scheme

• There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer in Tier 1 exam.
• For correct answer in Tier 1, candidates will get one mark.
• No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions.
• For Tier 1 exam, there will be a minimum cut off marks of 33%.
