Kerala PSC HSA Social Science Eligibility Criteria 2025
1. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Candidates must be born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included). - Age Relaxation: Usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules.
However, in no case shall the maximum age limit exceed 50 years.
2. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Degree in the concerned subject (any one of the following):

Commerce* or Music* (*only if B.Ed in Social Science was acquired before 21.09.2022)

Integrated B.A. Ed. (Social Studies, English) from Regional Institute of Education, Mysore

Diploma in Rural Service (National Council for Rural Higher Education) also considered equivalent

- B.Ed./B.T. in the concerned subject, recognized by any university in Kerala.
- Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) Category III pass is mandatory.

Candidates qualified with C-TET (not Primary stage), NET, SET, M.Phil., Ph.D., or M.Ed. in any subject.

Note: C-TET Primary/Elementary stage not considered an alternative to K-TET Category III.

3. Alternative Accepted Combinations (Islamic History Stream)
Candidates with any of the following degree and B.Ed combinations are also eligible:
- B.A. in Islamic History & Urdu (Double Main) + B.Ed. in Social Studies
- B.A. Islamic History (Main), General Economics & Indian History (Subsidiaries) + B.Ed. in History
- B.A. Islamic History & Arabic (Main) + B.Ed. in History
- B.A. Islamic History (Main), Economics & Political Science (Subsidiaries) + B.Ed. in History
- B.A. Islamic History & Arabic (Main) + B.Ed. in Social Studies
- B.A. Islamic History (Main), Indian History & Political Science (Subsidiaries) + B.Ed. in History or Social Studies
- B.A. Islamic History (Main), Indian Culture & Freedom Movement & Political Science (Subsidiaries) + B.Ed. in Social Studies
- B.A. Islamic History (Main), Linguistics & Indian History (Subsidiaries) + B.Ed. in Social Science
4. Other Key Points
- Degree/Diploma must be from UGC-approved universities or those established by Parliament/State Legislatures.
- Degrees obtained should be listed clearly in the application form.
- If a written test (OMR/Descriptive) is conducted, the paper will be in Malayalam, and answers must also be written in Malayalam.
- Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of K.S. & S.S.R. applies.
- Candidates must produce equivalency certificates, if applicable, when required by the commission.
Kerala PSC HSA Social Science Selection Process 2025
The Kerala PSC HSA Social Science 2025 Selection Process involves the following stages:
- Written Test/OMR/Online Test: Candidates must confirm their participation through the One Time Registration profile. Admission tickets will be available 15 days before the exam. Applications without confirmation will be rejected.
- Document Verification: Candidates who clear written test will undergo document verification to finalize their selection.
- Interview: Based on the test results, shortlisted candidates will attend an interview.

How to Apply for Kerala PSC HSA Social Science 2025
To apply for the post, candidates must register through the Kerala PSC Thulasi portal via www.keralapsc.gov.in under the “One Time Registration” system.
- New users should create a profile and upload a recent passport-size photo (taken within 6 months), with the name and date printed at the bottom. The uploaded photo will remain valid for 10 years.
- After registration, log in using your User ID and password.
- Click on ‘Apply Now’ under the respective post in the notification section.
- Double-check all profile details before final submission. Once submitted, the application cannot be edited or deleted.
- No application fee is required.
- After applying, download or save a copy of the submitted application from the ‘My Applications’ tab.
- Applicants with an Aadhaar card should add it as ID proof in their profile.
