- The selection process involves three stages, namely the Preliminary exam, the Mains exam and the Language Proficiency Test.
- The Preliminary exam is divided into three sections. They are the Reasoning Ability, the Numerical Ability and the English Language respectively.
- The candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be qualified for the next level. They will be called to appear for the Mains exam. Hence, clearing the prelims is your first step to attaining your dream job.
- Those candidates who qualify in the Mains exam with high scores will be shortlisted and then called for the interview round.

LIC Assistant Exam Pattern 2021
Both the prelims and mains examination patterns are slightly different. The exam pattern for Prelims and Mains are mentioned below:
LIC Assistant Prelims Exam
- The exam will be conducted in online mode and the duration will be 1 hour or 60 minutes for each section.
- There are 3 sections, of 100 questions each. 1 mark is given to each question.
- No negative marking is done in the prelims exam.
- English/Hindi language test(Language Proficiency Test) marks will not be counted for ranking.

Language Proficiency Test
