Usually, every year the GATE exam is notified and conducted by any one of the IITs (7 Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee)) and IISc (Indian Institute of Science). GATE 2022 – Important Dates
This year the chance for conducting GATE 2022 is for the IIT Kharagpur. The registration process against this notification commenced on 2nd September 2021. And, the last date to apply without a fine is till 24th September 2021. The GATE 2022 exam date has been released by the conducting authority, IIT Kharagpur. GATE Exam Pattern Subject-wise Weightage
The marking scheme for the GATE papers are as follows:
- The first type of MCQs – One mark for each correct answer; 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer
- The second type of MCQs – Two marks for each correct answer; 2/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response
- For the Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions – No negative marking for questions
