ESIC UDC
ESIC’s job is much better as there are better promotional avenues. Every directly recruited UDC gets promotions at least up to asst. director based on seniority only (no exam). if one can clear departmental exams then promotion is up to Deputy director at least.
After selection as an ESIC UDC, the next promotion will be as an Assistant with initial grade pay of Rs 4200. This normally requires service for a continuous period of 3 years in the same cadre and also depends on the vacancies available. After serving 3 years as an Assistant, one becomes eligible for Social Security Officer in the initial grade pay of Rs 4600.

ESIC Steno & UDC Exam Pattern
ESIC Steno & UDC 2019 follow a three-tier selection procedure. ESIC result is released in three stages that is, Prelims, Mains, and Computer Skill Test (final merit list). Each tier will have a separate ESIC result for Steno & UDC. ESIC UDC Result for Mains decides the number of candidates sitting for the Phase III exam. For Upper Divison Clerk: The marks obtained in Phase –II will be considered for final selection. But candidates have to clear all stages of examination.
