SSC CGL 2025 Vacancies
The number of available vacancies will be determined by SSC in due course and updates will be posted in the official website. Vacancies for ESM are reserved only for Group “C” posts. Reservations regarding all the categories will be determined and communicated by the recruiting department.
SSC CGL 2025 Selection Process
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) release the official notification regarding the SSC CGL selection process 2025 on the official website of SSC. As per the SSC CGL 2025 notification, the recruitment will be based on the selection process prescribed by the official body of SSC. The SSC CGL exam is conducted to find the most talented and skilled candidates for the various posts under the central government.
The selection is based on four stages. The four stages in the SSC CGL exam are – tier 1, tier 2, tier 3, and skill tests. The three-tiered exam along with the skill test can find the apt candidates for the post under SSC. The SSC CGL skill test, tier 1 and 2 tests are conducted online. SSC CGL Selection Procedure: Tier 1
Candidates who successfully replenish the SSC CGL application format are called for the SSC CGL tier 1 exam. The SSC CGL 2025 tier 1 exam has 100 queries. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is conducted for 200 marks. According to the released SSC CGL exam pattern 2025, candidates are granted 2 marks for every right solution and one mark is subtracted for every wrong response.
The queries in the SSC CGL tier 1 exam 2025 are questioned from General Intelligence & Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates who get the privilege of qualifying for the SSC CGL tier 1 exam will be called for the SSC CGL tier 2 exam immediately. SSC CGL Selection Procedure: Tier 2
Those Candidates who are capable of qualifying for the SSC CGL tier 1 exam are qualified to emerge for the tier 2 and 3 exams of the SSC CGL 2025. The selection is based on strict methods. The candidates should check for the results on the official website.
The results would be updated immediately after the tier 1 exam. The SSC CGL 2025 tier 2 exam is also ushered in the online method. As per the prescribed SSC CGL exam pattern 2025, the tier 2 exam incorporates 4 distinct compositions. The English language & comprehension and Quantitative Ability are regarded as the mandatory Papers.

SSC CGL Selection Procedure: Tier 3

Contenders for tier 4 skill tests are shortlisted based on the results of tier 2 and tier 3 descriptive papers. The SSC CGL skill test includes Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The candidates who wish to prove themselves should be proficient in the above areas.
SSC CGL 2025 CPT is operated for prospects laid for Assistant Section Officer of CSS, Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) Assistant Section Officer (MEA) which is coming directly under the category of Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Assistant in the Ministry of Mines posts. SSC CGL DEST is executed for the post of Tax Assistants. The tier 4 exam is also qualifying in nature just like tier 3 exam 2025.

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2025?
- Applications have to be submitted online in the official website of SSC : https://ssc.nic.in
- Click on the tab that direct you to the SSC CGL application procedure, you can visit “Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) “.
- Under the CGL tab, you can notice the “Apply” tab.
- On the latest tab, look for your primary details like name, DOB, Matriculation Details, etc.
- Candidates can choose three examination centers of their choice, EWS, and Ex-servicemen level.
- Candidates are required to upload the scanned color passport size photograph (not more than three months old) in JPEG format.
- Now, the candidates are advised to check the declaration issued at the end of the page
- Click on the “Preview” button and verify all the facts given in the form
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- Then your SSC CGL 2025 Application will be provisionally accepted by the commission
- Take a print out of your application form for future reference.
