Staff selection commission (SSC) is an organization under government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various ministries and departments of the government of India and in subordinate offices .This autonomous body conducts competitive exams for the recruitment of various posts in the SSC departments among which SSC combined graduate level examination (SSC CGL) is one of the most relevant platforms for every government job aspirants. This examination aims at the recruitment of staff for various group B and group C posts. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is the educational qualification required to apply for the examination. The age of the candidates should be between 20-30 years. The age limits may vary depending on the position applied.

SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus and examination pattern
As we already mentioned, it is an online examination with objective type of questions. There are four papers namely ‘quantitative abilities’, ’English language and comprehension’, ‘Statistics’ and ‘general studies’, each carrying 200 marks. The time duration of each paper is 2 hours.

Paper 1 and paper 2 are compulsory papers, while paper 3 and paper 4 are particularly for certain posts such as junior statistical officer (JSO), Assistant audit officer and Assistant accounts officer. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for paper 2 (English language and comprehension) and 0.50 marks for paper 1, 3, and 4 for each wrong answer.
The questions of paper 1 will be of matriculation level based and paper 2 of higher secondary level based. In paper 3 and 4, you can expect graduation level based questions.
