SSC SI ASI Paper 2 2019 Postponed – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an important notice on SSC SI ASI Paper 2 2019 Paper 2 examination. As per the notice released on 22nd April, Paper 2, scheduled to be held on 08th May 2021, has been postponed due to an increase in COVID19 across the country. SSC SI ASI Recruitment 2019 notification was released on 17th September 20219 to fill up around 1564 vacancies in Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
SSC SI ASI Paper 2 2019 Postponed
The SSC SI ASI Paper 2 2019 was scheduled to be held on 08th May 2021. As per the official notification, ‘Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, the Commission has decided to defer the Paper-II of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPFs and ASI in CISF Examination-2019 scheduled on 08-05-2021. The fresh date for the said examination will be intimated in due course. Candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission regularly for the updates.’

SSC SI ASI Paper 2 2019 Exam Overview
SSC SI ASI 2019 Paper 1 was held from 11th December to 13 December 2019 and the result was published on 14 February 2020. Candidates who qualified in Paper 1 were called for the Physical standard test (PST)/ Physical efficiency test (PET) conducted by CAPFs and was conducted from 23rd November 2020 to 8th December 2020.
Then the Paper 2 examination was scheduled to be held from 08th May.
Candidates in securing the minimum qualifying marks in Paper 2, will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Paper 2
Paper 2 will be having a single paper English language & Comprehension, with 200 questions for 200 marks. The time duration will be 2 hours.
English Language and Comprehension: Questions in these components will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding and knowledge of the English Language and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles, etc.), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension, etc.
Minimum qualifying marks in the Paper 2 are as follows:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ EWS: 25%
- All other categories: 20%
