Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was formed when the state of Andhra Pradesh formed on 1 November 1956. Earlier, the commission was known as the Andhra Service Commission which is based on the regulations of Madras Public Service Commission.Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the recruitment for Assistant Executive Engineer posts to fill 309 vacancies. It is one of the most prestigious exams in Andhra Pradesh. The candidates have already started their preparation with the official exam pattern and syllabus published as per the notification. APPSC AEE previous papers: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree in the related field from any Recognized University/ Institute.
- The Age Limit should be Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years.
- Upper age relaxation is applicable to the reserved category candidates.
- A candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd July 1976 and not later than 1st July 2000.
- Special Age relaxations are as follows;
SC/ST – 5 years
Physically Challenged – 10 years
AP State Government Employees – 5 years (based on the length of regular service)

APPSC AEE previous papers: Selection Process
The APPSC AEE exam is conducted in three stages:
- Prelims or Screening Test in Offline Mode: A candidate needs to go through a written pen and paper examination on basic subjects of the respective streams.
- Mains in Online Mode: This is conducted in three papers, which stream specific questions throughout.
- Interview: This is the last stage where they test your personality and are you fit for this job.
APPSC AEE previous papers: How to Fill the form online?
- A candidate can register through APPSC’s official website.
- Note that you have to pay the Application fee online using a Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Cash Cards/Wallets or other online payment methods.
- Make sure you use a valid email ID, which you have to keep active until the final declaration of results.
- A candidate needs to keep a scanned photograph and signature ready as per requirements mentioned in the official notification. He/She needs to upload it during the application or form filling process.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

Strain energy – Resilience – Gradual, sudden, impact and shock loadings. Shear Force (S.F) and Bending Moment (B.M): Definition of beam –Types of beams – Concept of shear force and bending moment – S.F and

Fluid dynamics: Surface and body forces – Euler’s and Bernoulli’s equations for flow along a stream line and its applications, momentum equation and its applications. Flow measurement devices – Gross measurement: Venturimeter, Orificemeter, Turbine flow meters, Rotameters; Pressure measurement: Pitot tubes, hot wire/film anemometer, their measurement principles and sources of errors; calibration.
Closed conduit flow: Reynolds experiment – Major and Minor losses in pipes-pipes in series and pipes in parallel-total energy line-hydraulic gradient line, water hammer. Boundary Layer Concepts: Definition, thicknesses, characteristics along thin plate, laminar and turbulent boundary layers boundary layer in transition, separation of boundary layer, submerged objects – Drag and lift.
Basics of turbo machinery: Hydrodynamic force of jets on stationary and moving flat, inclined, and curved vanes, velocity diagrams, work done and efficiency, Hydraulic Turbines: Classification of turbines, Heads and efficiencies, impulse and reaction turbines, Pelton wheel, Francis turbine and Kaplan turbine – working proportions, work done, efficiencies , hydraulic design – Draft tube theory-functions and efficiency. 4)DESIGN OF CONCRETE AND MASONRY STRUCTURES: Limit state design for bending, Shear, Axial compression and combined forces. Codal provision for slabs, Beams, Columns and footings.
