APPSC AEE Career 2022 – Departments

The various departments in which the recruitment for assistant executive engineer will take place are mainly 6 departments. Those departments in which the assistant executive engineer recruitment will take place are the public health department, water resources department, panchayat raj department, tribal welfare department, rural water supply department, and R&B department. 

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission assistant executive engineer exam will be a computer-based objective type exam. APPSC AEE Job Profile 2022

Roles and Responsibilities

At the initial time period or during the entry level usual work profile of an assistant executive engineer include design verification, preparing estimates, etc. Other important responsibilities for APPSC AEE candidates during their initial stages will be executing and preparing bills for various developmental works. 

However, depending on the respective departments candidates opt for their job responsibility will vary. We have already said there are 6 departments to which APPSC AEE placement will take place. Now we will discuss the basic responsibility of candidates in their respective departments.

Panchayat Raj Department

• Basic job responsibilities of candidates getting into this department includes constructing roads, anganwadis, buildings etc

Water Resources Department

• In this department, the basic responsibilities of the AEE’s will be the construction of dams, canals, SLRB/ small bridges, regulators, works relating to water regulation etc.
• Taking necessary precautions during a flood, maintaining irrigation projects, patrolling canals, precautionary measures during cyclones, etc fall under this department

R&B Department

• This department works for the construction and maintenance of core roads and office buildings in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Rural Water Supply and Sanitation department

• As the name suggests this department deals with the water supply in the rural areas
• This department specifically deals with the water supply to the villages. This responsibility was initially under the panchayat raj department. But recently this department has become an individual department after separating from the panchayat raj department.

Pay Scale And Grade Pay

The APPSC AEE Salary 2022, basic pay, grade pay , career growth, etc are given below. The basic pay scale for APPSC AEE comes around Rs 37100. The actual APPSC AEE salary 2022 will be put out along with the official notification. These details are however observations from the past.

Career Growth

The grade pay for the post of an assistant executive engineer is generally Rs 6600. In a time span of 5 years, there are high possibilities that they get promotion to the post of superintendent officer. After a time period of another 5 years, their grade pay can range up to Rs 7600 to get a promotion as an additional chief engineer. The highest job profile for this post is that of a chief engineer with grade pay of Rs 10000. This may happen within or more than 2 years after attaining the post of additional chief engineer.
