- Recruitment is through Direct Selection by Kerala PSC
- Applicants must be aged 20 to 40 years as per the notified date of birth limits
- Age relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC and eligible departmental candidates
- A Postgraduate degree in Economics with minimum required marks is mandatory
- B.Ed qualification is required; M.Ed holders are exempted
- Passing the State Eligibility Test (SET) is compulsory
- NET, JRF, SLET, Ph.D, M.Phil, M.Ed holders and eligible teachers are exempted from SET
- Additional weightage marks are awarded for non-qualifying higher degrees
- 5% mark relaxation in PG is allowed for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates

- Apply only through the Kerala PSC One Time Registration (OTR) system
- Registered candidates can access the form via User ID and password
- New users must upload a clear, recent photograph with name and date printed (valid for 10 years)
