Job Profile
THe Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was formed in 1969. It consists of three battalions. The position of Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF is usually known as the “backbone” of CISF. Now the force also provides security to VIPs, Disaster management and metro rail corporations. They are group C( Non-Gazetted) employees. They connect the operators and the control room. Some of their main responsibilities include:
- Industrial security : Provides security for industrial sectors.
- Airport security : This is the common duty of any Assistant Sub Inspector.
- Search operations can be carried out by them
- They have the power to seize or prevent any custody
- They will also work as clerical staff in the office.

Selection Procedure
The selection of Central Industrial Security Force Assistant Sub Inspector will contain various phases for the final selection. Candidates thus shortlisted shall be called for a written examination followed by a physical standard test and physical efficiency test. The selection phases are given below:-

It is compulsory for each candidate to score a minimum of 45% marks in each part and a total of 50% in aggregate to qualify for the exam. Relaxation of 5% marks will be provided for the candidates who belong to the reserved categories, that is SC /ST.
