The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is soon to announce the notification regarding the recruitment of various Assistants and Personal Clerks in different Government Departments. The interested and eligible candidates shall first register themselves through One Time Registration System on payment of Rs.150 as registration fee and then apply online for the post. All the updates regarding the notification shall be made available at this space as and when it is issued by the Commission.

The minimum age for candidates belonging to all communities is 18. For applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes, Most Backward
Classes /Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (Other than Muslim), Backward Classes (Muslims) and Destitute Widows of all castes, there is no limit regarding the upper age. For all other applicants, the maximum age is limited to 30 years.
Scheme of Examination
It is an objective type exam consisting of 300 questions to be answered in 3 hours. The syllabus covers three main streams viz, General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability, and General Tamil/ General English. For answering the language part, the applicants can opt either Tamil or English. For all communities, the minimum qualifying marks are 90.
Selection Procedure
Selection is mainly based on the merit scored by the candidate in the written exam.
