In order to streamline the number of recruitment tests across India, the central government is all set to form a new agency, called the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). Once the NRA will be created, through a Common Eligibility Test (CET), this recruitment body will conduct a screening test for different recruitment agencies like SSC, RRB, and IBPS. In the beginning, NRA CET will be for these three recruitment bodies only, but as we progress all other recruitments will be through this common test. The hiring of Group-B (non-gazetted), Group-C (non-technical) and clerical posts in the government along with various equivalent recruitment in public sector banks will be done through CET from 2021 onwards. We can expect the NRA CET notification by March 2021.
