Probationary officer, one of the most exciting careers in the banking sector, is a post that is regularly advertised for recruitments in both government as well as private banks. Through the IBPS PO examination, the recruitment process of probationary officers and management trainees for 17 public sector banks in India is done. The hiring process comprises three phases.
1) Preliminary exam
2) Main exam
3) Common interview (CI)
Both the preliminary and main examination is conducted online and those who win these two stages are invited for a common interview. In the preliminary examination, the candidates are expected to score a minimum qualifying mark while their final selection process will be merely based on the marks of main examination and interview. The posting of the candidates can be in any of these 17 banks. The number of candidates who registered for the exam in 2018-2019 was a total of 8.79 lakh out of which 6.58 lakh candidates appeared for the test.

IBPS PO Prelims Exam 2019
IBPS PO 2019 Prelims exam has started on October 12 and ended on October 20. The result of IBPS PO 2019 exam is expected to be released on October or November 2019. The exam comprised three sections.
1) Quantitative aptitude
2) Reasoning ability
3) English Language
All the questions were objective type and each question has five options. The number of questions for the first two papers and the final paper were 35 and 30 respectively and the total mark of the test is 100. Overall difficulty level of the examination based on the feedback of the aspirants is as follows.

What after prelims exams
The preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Those who win to hit the cut off marks will be called to appear for the main examination which is to be conducted on November 30/2019. The admit card will be issued to the successful candidates on November. The mains exams consist of four objective tests and one descriptive test with total marks of 225.
The challenge you will have to face during the IBPS PO examination is probably not the hard nature of the questions but your way of approach towards them because you are supposed to attend a huge number of questions within a given time frame. So time management matters. Go through previous year question papers as many as you can and have a deep understanding on the pattern of question paper. Enhance your logical reasoning abilities.
