Staff selection commission conducts combined graduate level examination (SSC) as a part of the recruitment process of staff for various group B and group C posts. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is the educational qualification required to apply for the examination. The age of the candidates should be between 20-30 years. The age limits may vary depending on the position applied.

SSC CHSL
Through the ‘combined higher secondary level examination’ (CHSL), SSC recruits candidates for a multitude of government departments such as lower divisional clerk (LDC), junior secretariat assistant (JSA), postal assistant, sorting assistant, data entry operator (DEO) etc. Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized body or university and his age must be between 18 and 27 years. Age relaxation is given for reserved categories.

This test is to assess the writing skills of the candidates. It contains two papers .The first one will be an essay paper and the latter is a letter/application writing paper. Candidates should score 33% of marks to qualify the paper. The marks of tier 2 paper will be taken into account while preparing the merit list.
SSC CHSL Tier 3 exam details
Tier-3 is a skill test/typing test. It is conducted either in English or in Hindi depending on the candidate’s choice.
