Apprenticeships help the newcomers to have hands-on experiences in the classroom taught papers. Through the Apprentices Act, 1961 government is aiming to narrow the gap between the academics and industries. While engaging the apprentices in their organizations, they are entitled to get a stipend from the organizations for their day to day expenses. Railways also appoint hundreds of apprentices in different railway workshops across the country. Railway ITI trade apprentices also get a stipend of around Rs. 7500/ per month along with the practical experiences.
