With a total sanctioned strength of 9000, RPSF is well organized, better equipped, fully trained, and readily available in reserve with railways. • Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and

RPSF SI Exam Pattern

• For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will get deducted from the score.
• The questions will be of degree/ graduation level.
• Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the exam across 15 languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Kannada, Konkani, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, and Telugu
• Based on the area/ battalion the recruitment board do publishes the cut-off scores but the candidates should score at least the below-given minimum qualifying marks:

Physical Test Criteria

The second stage of the RPSF SI Selection process is the Physical Efficiency Test. This is mandatory for all candidates and one should complete it in flying colours to advance to the next stage of the Physical measurements Test.

RPSI SI: Physical Measurement Test

Based on the candidate’s performance in the test, they will be called for PET and PMT. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and will be qualifying in nature. The PET criteria are as under:

1. For the running event, 1600/ 800 meters only one chance will be given, but for the remaining events viz Long Jump and High jump, you will be given up to 2 chances each
2. Ex-servicemen is exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test

RPSF SI Selection Process: Physical Measurement Test

• The candidate who does not have minimum height, chest (unexpanded/ expanded) shall be treated as having failed in the Physical Measurement Test
• The Physical Measurement Test is qualifying in nature

RPSF SI Selection Process: Document Verification

Based on candidates performance in the test and success in the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test, the railway recruitment board will invite candidates for the document verification. In case, if two or more candidates securing the same marks, the merit shall be determined by age criteria i.e. older candidate shall be given higher seniority. Once the educational, category certificate, and character verification they have to complete the mandatory medical test to get hired to the force. For the document verification process, the examinee should bring at least the following list of documents:

• 10th/ Matriculation certificate as proof of age
• Graduation certificate as proof of educational qualification
• Caste certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in the format prescribed for employment under Central Government
• Discharge certificate for Ex-Serviceman
• Two copies of the self-attested colour photograph
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer in case of serving Government employees
• Domicile certificate wherever applicable
