RRB JE Recruitment 2024 Out: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), under the Ministry of Railways, released RRB JE Recruitment 2024 notification for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (JE) and Civil Engineer (CE) against a large number of vacancies ( 7951 Announced).

As per the official notification published by the Railway Recruitment Board, the RRB Junior Engineer Application Form 2024 was accepted from July 30 to August 29, 2024. The official exam schedule for RRB JE 2024 has been unveiled by the authorities. As per the official notice, the RRB JE CBT 1 will be conducted from Dec 13 to Dec 17, 2024. The below table lists the key dates of the RRB JE Exam 2024 to make aspirants aware of all the vital events:

RRB JE Recruitment 2024 Vacancy Details

RRB JE Vacancy 2024 has been announced along with a notification pdf. This year, RRB JE exam will be conducted for 7934 vacancies of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. 17 vacancies are notified for Chemical Supervisor/ Research and Metallurgical Supervisor/ Research (only for RRB Gorakhpur). The post-wise and category-wise vacancy details have been released along with the official notification.

RRB JE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria set by the authority for the post of JE, JE (IT), DMS, and CMA are given below-

Nationality

A candidate must be either a citizen of India, subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Refugee who came to India before 1^st January 1962 with the intention of settling there, PIO migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in B.Tech.

Age limit:

The age of the applicants should fall between 18 years and 33 years as on 1^st January 2020. Candidates from reserved category can claim relaxation in age as per the rules.

Educational qualification

• Junior Engineer: Candidates should possess a valid diploma/degree in the concerned stream prescribed against various post in Annexure-A of the notification published on the official website.
• Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma in engineering from any discipline is required.
• Junior Engineer (IT): Candidates should have done PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B.Tech (IT)/ B.Tech (Computer Science)/ DOEACC B level course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university/institute.
• Chemical and Metallurgical Assistance (CMA): Applicants should have obtained a Bachelors’s degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry and have secured a minimum 55% marks in aggregate.

RRB JE Exam Pattern

The selection process involves two stages of written examination following the document verification and medical examination

Preliminary stage

Exam  Duration: 90 minutes Number  of Questions: 100

• Mathematics (30 questions )
• General Intelligence & Reasoning ( 25 questions)
• General Awareness  (15 questions)
• General Science (30 questions)

Stage 02

Exam Duration: 120 minutes Number  of Questions: 150

• General Awareness (15 questions)
• Physics & Chemistry ( 15 questions)
• Basics of Computers and Applications (10 questions)
• Basics of Environment and Pollution Control (10 questions)
•  Technical Abilities  (100 questions)
