UPSC Civil Services Examination Apply Online 2024

On February 14, 2024, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the much-awaited notification for Civil Services Recruitment 2024 on its official website. This recruitment drive is a gateway for candidates who aspire to work in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS), among others. The application process for the Civil Services Recruitment 2024 will commence on the same date as the notification release, i.e., February 14, 2024, and will conclude on March 05, 2024. • Maximum Age : 32 Years.
• Age Relaxation Extra as per the Authority Rules.

The upper age-limit prescribed above will be relaxable as follows:

• SC / ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
•  Ex-servicemen: 5 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years

UPSC CSE Educational Qualifications

A candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University.

The number of attempts

Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the CSE.

However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible

• SC /ST: Unlimited
• OBC: 9
• PwBD: 9

UPSC Civil Service Exam 2024 Selection Procedure

Application materials supplied at the time of online application submission may be verified, and candidates will be chosen based on their performance on the written exam and merit list. The selection rounds include;

• Written Exam (Pre and Mains).

• Medical Examination.
• Merit List.

• Click on the “Online Application for Various Examinations 0f UPSC” link. Find the link for the required recruitment.
• Now fill up the personal details after reading the instructions to fill Online Application Form.

• The candidate should provide the details of the Photo ID like Voter ID /Aadhaar /Driving License etc.
• The candidate should provide a Photo ID number and confirm it.
• After completing the process, clicks on the ‘I Agree’ button, his/her eligibility for Age relaxation and other criteria is automatically checked by the system.
• With the correct eligibility, the system Displays the system-generated Unique Registration ID along with the essential identification information.
• Take the Print out of the Part I application form

UPSC Civil Service Exam Exam Pattern 2024

• Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination
• The preliminary exam will be a screening test of Objective type questions.
• The maximum marks for both papers will be 400 and the question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
• Minimum qualifying marks of 33% in General Studies Paper-II of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination as may be determined by the Commission.
