Kerala SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) and be eligible to sit for the exam, candidates must meet specific requirements. The eligibility criteria for Kerala SET 2025 are detailed below.
Age Limit
As per the latest updates from the LBS Centre for Science and Technology’s official website, there is no specific age limit for applicants taking the Kerala SET exam. Therefore, candidates who meet the other eligibility requirements can apply regardless of their age.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade, along with a B.Ed degree. The following specific qualifications are required for various subjects:
- Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry: An MSc in Education in the relevant field from a regional institute of education sponsored by NCERT, with a minimum of 50% overall or an equivalent grade.
- Botany and Zoology: An MSc in Education in the relevant field from a regional institute of education sponsored by NCERT with at least 50% overall, or an MSc Ed in Biological Sciences with the same criteria.
- English: A B.Ed degree and a Master’s degree in Communicative English with at least 50% marks.
- Hindi: Candidates with a B.Ed in Hindi from the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempt from providing an equivalence certificate, as this degree is accepted by universities in Kerala.
- Latin: Similar to Hindi, candidates with a B.Ed from the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempt from submitting an equivalence certificate.
For other subjects such as Anthropology, Commerce, Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc., candidates must also have relevant degrees.
It is important to note that candidates who obtained their qualifications through Equivalency Courses or Open Universities not recognized by any of the universities in Kerala do not meet the eligibility criteria. Additionally, candidates from recognized parallel courses/Open universities must provide certificates of credit and equivalency from any university in Kerala.

Kerala SET 2025 Apply Online

Kerala SET 2025 Recruitment – How to Apply
Aspirants must follow the steps outlined below to complete the Kerala SET 2025 registration process successfully:
Step 1: Kerala SET Registration Process
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website at http://lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.
- Click on Online Registration: Find and click on the online registration link, then select the “New Registration” option.
- Provide Your Mobile Number: Enter your mobile number in the designated field.
- Verify Your Mobile Number: Next, you will need to verify your mobile number. An OTP will be sent to your mobile, which you must enter in the specified space.
Step 2: Fill out the Kerala SET Application Form
After verifying your mobile number, proceed to fill out the application form. You will need to provide the following details:
- Name and gender
- Date of birth
- Category
- Educational qualifications
- Preferred exam center
Once you have entered all the required details, carefully review the information before submitting the form. Please note that after submission, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes to the application form. A registration ID and site access key will be generated after the successful submission of the application.
Step 3: Application Fees
In the final step, candidates must pay the application fees through online modes such as credit/debit cards or internet banking. The application fees are as follows:
