The salary structure for the Higher Secondary School Teacher and Vocational Higher Secondary School Teacher is approximately 6.9/8.1 lakhs and 2.7/3.5 lakhs respectively.

Kerala SET – Eligibility Criteria
The curious candidates, who are willing to appear for the exam, should Master’s degree with not less than 50% marks or an equal degree. In addition, the candidates should also have B.Ed degree in any subject from any recognized university in Kerala.

| Hindi | Candidates who have obtained B.Ed Degree in Hindi conducted by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from the requirement of delivering the equivalency certificate, as the degree has been decided by the Universities in Kerala |
| Latin | The candidates cleared their degree exam in any discipline (from any University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent) with Latin as their second language under Paper II wherein they have ensured at least 50% marks. These eligibility criteria carry only if the candidate has secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for that Part II. |
