The aspirants who have completed and passed the Kerala Teachers Eligibility test can apply for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers and Vocational Teachers. General Requirement:
- A master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks.
- A B.Ed degree from a recognized university.
Subject-Specific Requirements:
- Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry: M.Sc.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent from a Regional Institute of Education sponsored by NCERT.
- Botany, Zoology: M.Sc.Ed in the respective subject or in Life Sciences with at least 50% marks or equivalent from any NCERT-sponsored Regional Institute.
- Commerce, French, German, Geology, Home Science, Journalism, Latin, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics, Syriac: No B.Ed degree is required.
- Biotechnology: A Master’s Degree in Biotechnology with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed in Natural Science is required.
