the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has released the EPFO Assistant 2020 notification. Through this multi-stage recruitment test, EPFO will recruit 280 graduates towards its service. While the Preliminary stage written exam is very much similar to the bank tests, in the Main examination/ Stage 2 written test candidates financial awareness and language handling capabilities will also be tested. The Assistant’s job profile in Employees PF organization is to manage data, and records and maintain files and to update the data systems as required, it is more or similar to the clerical works. Under the 07th pay, commission Assistant’s in the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) will get an entry pay of Rs. 44,900 along with allowances like DA, HRA, TA, etc.

EPFO Assistant Selection Pattern
The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Assistant cadre selection has two stages of written examination followed by the document verification process before the final merit list. Stage 01: Preliminary Exam

- About 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Preliminary exam will get shortlisted for the Main examination.

- For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of .25.
- Based on the performance in the main examination, around 5 times the number of vacancies the shortlist will get prepared.
- For both stages, there are both sectional cut-offs and total cut-off scores.
- Apart from the language section, all questions are bilingual (both English and Hindi).

EPFO Assistant Previous Question Papers
Both the preliminary exams and Main exams syllabus are very much similar to that of the bank exams like IBPS, SBI, RBI, etc. So if you are preparing for the bank exams you can also try your luck in this recruitment tests. Unlike the bank tests, EPFO exams are conducted by the UPSC and your appointment will be under the central government service. Hence you can avail more allowances and other benefits with lesser work pressure comparing to the bank employees. If you are preparing for the bank exams or SSC tests you can easily crack the Assistant’s screening tests. No need to spend dedicated time for this, but make sure to solve a few previous year question papers to understand the question level.
