Kerala SET 2025 Selection Process
The selection process for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) includes the following steps:

Kerala SET 2025 Exam Pattern
For the Kerala SET 2025, there will be two papers, both consisting of objective questions. Each question will have four possible answers (A, B, C, D), with only one correct option. Candidates must select and mark their answers on the OMR Answer Sheets. Each correct response will earn candidates 1 mark, while Mathematics and Statistics will award 1.5 marks for each correct answer. If a candidate marks more than one response for a question, it will be considered incorrect. Importantly, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
Kerala SET 2025 Paper 1 Exam Pattern
The first paper will be common for all candidates and will be divided into two sections: Part (A) General Knowledge and Part (B) Teaching Aptitude. Paper 1 will consist of 120 questions, with 60 questions in each part. Each question will carry 1 mark, and candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the test.
Kerala SET 2025 Paper 2 Exam Pattern
Paper 2 will focus on the candidate’s area of specialization at the postgraduate (PG) level. There will be 31 subjects available for Paper 2. Candidates with qualifications in disciplines not listed must obtain Equivalency and Eligibility Certificates from any university in Kerala. For most subjects, Paper 2 will contain 120 questions, each worth 1 mark. However, Mathematics and Statistics will have 80 questions, with each question valued at 1.5 marks.

Kerala SET 2025 Exam Allotment and Issuance of Certificates
Candidates who pass the exam must submit their qualifying certificates along with their application for a SET certificate within one year of the announcement of the test results. Those applying for a SET certificate after one year will need to pay a late fee of ₹500 for the following year and an additional ₹250 for each subsequent year. This fee must be paid via Demand Draft from a nationalized bank, made out to the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, payable in Thiruvananthapuram.
After verification of the required documents, certificates will be issued to successful candidates, certified by the Director of General Education.
