EPFO Assistant Eligibility 2020 – Age, Qualification

Employment Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is an organization that assists the Central Board of Trustees in administering the Provident Fund Scheme which is a retirement benefit scheme available for all salaried employees in India. EPFO is also one of the world’s largest social security organizations which makes it  one of the desirable organizations to work among aspiring graduates. EPFO recruits eligible candidates for various posts. EPFO is expected to release recruitment notification for Assistant posts in the coming months. Eligible candidates can apply. Examination will be conducted in two phases to recruit eligible candidates. EPFO Assistant Eligibility 2020 – Overview 

 EPFO Assistant 2020  Eligibility Criteria

The Employment Provident Fund Organization has set certain eligibility criteria’s for candidates aspiring to apply for the post of EPFO Assistant examination. Aspiring candidates must ensure that they satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria’s set by EPFO before applying for the post of Assistant.

1. Nationality

The candidate must be either-

a) a citizen of India or,

b) a subject of Nepal, Bhutan or

c) a Tibetian refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or,

d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note:- Candidate belonging to categories (b), (c) & (d) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.

2. EPFO Assistant 2020 Required Age Limit

EPFO has set minimum age criteria for candidates appearing for the EPFO Assistant examination.

• Those candidates who have attained an age of 20 years and must not be of 27 years of age as on the closing date for online registration of application.

Age relaxation –

Age relaxations are provided for eligible candidates as given below. If a candidate is eligible for relaxation of age on more than one ground, he/she would be granted the highest of the age relaxations for which he/she is eligible.

a) SC/ST up to 5 years,

b) OBC –NCL up to 3 years,

c) For employees of Central Government & departmental candidates i.e., employees of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization-

d) Person with Disability (PwD):

3. EPFO Assistant 2020 Required Educational Qualifications

•  Candidates applying for the EPFO Assistant examination must possess a degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Also candidates who wish to apply and their final examination result of the prescribed Educational / Professional qualification are yet to be announced should not apply.

Note: – By recognized university EPFO means-

i) A university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or an Act of State Legislature in India or

ii) An educational institute established by an Act of Parliament or declared to a Deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956 (3 of 1956).
