- Translation of various documents from Hindi to English and vice-versa.

SSC JHT Promotion
After three to four years of service as Junior Hind Translator (JHT) candidates became eligible to the next stage in the promotion ladder. If you are smart and joined the services at your mid-twenties then this Junior scale job can lead you to the Director cabin over the years. The time for promotion varies for different organizations. But in normal circumstances, you will get the first promotion chances within five years in the service. Candidates, please note that in most of the organizations there is a probation period of 2 years.
Promotion Journey
- From amongst Junior Translators in PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- with 5 years of regular service in the grade and have successfully completed the training will be considered for the posts of Senior Hindi Translator.
- The Senior Translators in PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- with 3 years of regular
service in the grade and have successfully completed the training will be promoted to the Posts of Assistant Directors. The Assistant Director posts is a Central Service Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial with a Pay Band -3, Rs. 15600- 39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400. - Assistant Director (OL) in PB-3, Rs. 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- with 5 years regular service in the grade and have successfully completed the training, and with essential education, qualification will be promoted to Deputy Director. Candidates age shall be below 45 years.
- Deputy Director (OL) in Pay Band-3, Rs. 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- with 5 years of regular service in the grade shall be eligible for the posts of Joint Director.
- Where juniors who have completed their qualifying or eligibility service is being considered for promotion, their senior shall also be considered provided they are not short of the requisite qualifying or eligibility service by more than half of such qualifying or eligibility service or 2 years.
