The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon invite applications towards open recruitment for Group “B‟ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Candidates below 30 years, with graduation in Hindi, can apply towards the SSC JHT 2021. SSC JHT has two stages of written examination followed by the document verification process. Interested candidates can now apply towards the SSC JHT 2021 through the SSC official website as and when the application window is open. In this article, we will discuss SSC JHT Selection Process 2021 in detail.
SSC JHT Selection Process 2021
The Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator are Group “B‟ posts, so there is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category. Only male candidates are eligible for the posts of Junior Translator in the Border Roads Organization (BRO). The Junior Translator in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has a rigid requirement of physical and medical standards including Physical Efficiency Test. If the aspirant fails in the tests, his candidature will not be considered for any other post/ department. The SSC JHT Selection process contains the following steps:
- Preliminary Examination: Computer-Based Objective Test
- Main Examination: Descriptive Paper
SSC JHT recruitment has two stages of written examination followed by document verification.

The Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ EWS: 25%
- Others: 20%
Medical Standards & PET
The below-given instructions are only for candidates preferring the JHT post in the BRO.
- For Junior Translator in BRO, candidates have to appear for the Physical Test. One has to complete a “One Mile Running” within 10 minutes.
- Visual acuity not less than 6/12 each eye or Right eye 6/6, Left 6/24. Corrective spectacles are permitted during the visual test.
- Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of the hand. No other permanent tattoos are acceptable.
- Candidates should be free from nervous instability and be in possession of sound health.
