The selected candidates will get the following allowances along with their basic pay. The allowances are:
- House Rent Allowance(HRA)
- Dearness Allowances (DA)
- Transport Allowances
- Ration Money
- Children Education Allowances
- Uniform Allowances
Allowances of JHT
- The Dearness Allowance is 12% of Basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission
- The transport allowances also vary with the posting centre. In the cities, it would be Rs. 3600 + and for all other places, the TA will be not less than Rs. 1800+.
- Children Education Allowance of Rs. 27000/- per annum is available for children studying class Nursery to class XII. CEA also increases with an increase in DA. A Hostel subsidy of Rs.81000/- per annum for children studying in the hostel is also available.
- Every year the officers will get Rs. 10000/ as uniform allowances.
- Along with all these allowances around Rs. 5000 will get deducted from the monthly salary for Provident Fund (PF) and insurance.
- The minimum in-hand salary of the SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) on the 7th Pay Commission will be Rs. 35,400.
House Rent Allowance
The House rent allowance (HRA) will depend upon your posting centre. The minimum entitled HRA for Class X, Y and Z cities is Rs. 5400/- Per month, Rs. 3600/- per month and Rs.1800/- per month respectively. The HRA would be 24%, 16% and 8% of the Basic pay for X, Y and Z class cities respectively.
