The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon publish the SSC JHT 2021 recruitment notification. Through this open recruitment, SSC will fill Group “B‟ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. The commission has notified 283 vacant posts so far, and the numbers may change. Candidates below 30 years, with graduation in Hindi, can apply towards the SSC JHT 2021. SSC JHT Syllabus has three parts, with the first two parts is to test the language skills in English, and Hindi. The second part of the syllabus is to evaluate the candidate’s translation skills. SSC JHT Syllabus 2021
The Junior Hindi Translator has two stages of written examination. The preliminary examination is to check the candidate’s proficiency in the languages: Hindi and English. The Paper-II or the Main examination is to check the translation skills from Hindi to English, and Vice versa.

SSC JHT Syllabus: Paper-2 Translation Skills
- Translation and Essay: One passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi,
- Essay each in Hindi and English
The Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ EWS: 25%

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2021

The Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator are Group “B‟ posts, so there is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category. Only male candidates are eligible for the posts of Junior Translator in the Border Roads Organization (BRO). The Junior Translator in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has a rigid requirement of physical and medical standards including Physical Efficiency Test. The SSC JHT Selection process contains the following steps:
- Preliminary Examination: Computer-Based Objective Test
- Main Examination: Descriptive Paper
SSC JHT recruitment has two stages of written examination followed by document verification.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper I. JHT Paper-1 will consist of Objective type Multiple choice questions. Marks scored by candidates in Paper-1 will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission in the official website. The questions will be of graduation level.

The Phase-II examination is of descriptive type.

- For Junior Translator in BRO, candidates have to appear for a Physical Test. In that PET, candidates have to complete a “One Mile Running” within 10 minutes.
