To appear for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET-January-2026), candidates must meet specific academic qualifications, age rules, and relaxation norms as per the official notification.
Educational Qualification for Kerala SET 2026
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant subject, along with a B.Ed. Degree in any discipline from a recognized university in Kerala or its equivalent.
- For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, candidates with M.Sc.Ed from NCERT’s Regional Institutes of Education (with 50% marks) are eligible.
- For Life Science, M.Sc.Ed in Life Science (50% marks) is accepted.
- B.Ed. is not mandatory for subjects like Commerce, French, German, Geology, Home Science, Journalism, Latin, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics, and Syriac.
