Educational Qualification
Candidates who wish to apply for the above-mentioned job position must be a 10th pass and possess ITI Certification (approved by NCVT / SCVT), or Diploma in Engineering.

Age Limit
18-30 years
The minimum age for a candidate to apply for the post is restricted to 18 and the maximum age is restricted to 30 years. (Candidates with reservation status are provided with certain age relaxation approved by the government upon submitting proof of reservation and age relaxation). - The candidate must enter all the necessary information asked by the recruiting body at the right places without any fail.

The CBT2 syllabus for the RRB ALP examination is different from that of the other examination syllabus. Candidates have to take a good look at the complete syllabus before start preparing. Also, candidates have to keep this information in mind while preparing for the exam.
- Qualifying Marks for CBT 2 Part B is 35 % (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible)
- This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director-General of Employment & Training (DGET).
- Candidates with ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualifications will be required to appear in the section having questions from the relevant trade.
- Candidates holding Degree, Diploma and HSC (10+2) having eligibility for the posts of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades listed against their engineering discipline/HSC (10+2).
