The Railway Recruitment Board publishes the expected cut-off marks along with the published examination results. Cut-off marks are the minimum marks required in order to qualify for the exam and are decided from time to time based on the level of toughness of the paper. The candidates are required to score equal to or more than the Cut-Off marks for the post applied depending on his/her category. The notification for Assistant Loco Pilot cut-off marks is not released yet. Candidates can go through the previously released result notification to get a detailed analysis of the result and expected cut-off marks. RRB ALP Cut Off 2022
RRB releases a notification regarding the cut off mark which the candidate has to obtain in order to get into the next step of recruitment process. Candidates willing to write the examination must have an understanding of the cut off mark according to the category to which one belongs. The cut off for ALP exam is decided based on various factors. The factors considered while deciding the minimum RRB ALP cut off marks are as mentioned below:
- Level of toughness of the examination
- Total vacancies in each zones
- Category in which one belongs
- Total number of candidates appeared.
- Highest score of RRB applicant in the previous examination
RRB ALP Previous Cut Off
The RRB will announce two cut off marks for the recruitment RRB ALP 2021. One is the minimum qualifying RRB cut off marks and the second one is RRB ALP normalized marks that are used to make the merit list. It includes two stages RRB ALP CBT I & CBT II.
The minimum qualifying marks in each stage of the Computer Based Test have been not been released yet. Hence an expected cut off based on the previous year is tabulated below.
The minimum mark required by the candidate for CBT I exam with respect to the category can be expected as:

The RRB ALP CBT II exam consists of two parts. In the later stages of ALP recruitment, the marks that candidates secure in part A of the CBT II exam will be considered while Part B of CBT II becomes qualifying in nature. However, candidates have to secure 35% marks to qualify for the CBT II Part B exam. Hence, candidates are required to qualify in each stage in order to be considered for the ALP post.
Previous Year RRB ALP Cut Off
The Railway Recruitment Board releases ALP cut-off marks for different categories and different zones on the regional RRB’s official website. Candidates can check the RRB ALP cutoffs of the previously released notification of 2018 to understand more about the cut-off marks.
