Starting from 2017, this is the fifth year of the celebration of the Antyodaya Diwas. This day is utilized to improve youth skill development programs and career enhancement programs. This is a genuine attempt to support the youth belonging to the rural areas. The youth can improve themselves if they are given a chance. This chance is made available by a governmental organization to support the lives of poor people in society.

The Ministry of Rural Development selects the beneficiaries of the two skill development programs. in India, the recent skill development program introduced by the government is Rural Self Employment Training Institute and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana.
Around 800 people are elected as the beneficiaries. Following this in 2018, the government has set up camps, symposia, Blood donation camps, programs and orientation activities to convince the people about the need for the protection and consideration of those people belonging to the poorest and weakest section of the society.
