The Republic of India is heading towards the 75 years of victory over the empire on which the sun never set. The British empire was on their knees by giving independence to India on 15 August 1947. India yearly celebrates its Independence Day by admiring the long resilient freedom struggle headed by great independence leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel etc. In the year of 2022 India is heading towards 75 years of its celebration of independence from British empire and is about to celebrate profoundly and magnificently. Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched the Azadi Ka Amrithu Mahotsav which is the celebration of the 75 years of the Indian independence. What is Azadi Ka Amrith Maholsav?
India always celebrates its Independence Day greatly. It is always a sense of pride and relief for all the Indians. The unexpected circumstances which our country is going through has put our nation on the backward of development and growth. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already proclaimed for building a new Atma Nirbhar India by 2022. In 2022 India will be celebrating its 75 years of independence too. To commence all this together the Prime Minister has called for the magnificent celebration of the Indian independence by the name of Azadi ka Amrith Maholsavu.
Shri Narendra Modi envisages India to be a global superpower by enhancing the governance, development, Tachnology, Reform, Progress and policy. The above said themes have been taken as a matter of concern to be achieved and enhanced to attain the new Atma Nirbhar Bharath as part of the Azadi Ka Amrith Maholsavu. The Prime Minister asserted that Azadi Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of energy of independence. It means elixir of inspirations of the warriors of freedom struggle; elixir of new ideas and pledges and nectar of Aatmnirbharta.
When will Azadi Ka Amrith Maholsavu Start?
Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav is a series of events to be organised by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. The Mahotsav will be celebrated as a Jan-Utsav in the spirit of Jan-Bhagidari. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi flagged off the ‘Padyatra’ (Freedom March) from Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad and inaugurated the curtain raiser activities of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (India@75). He also launched various other cultural and digital initiatives for the India@75 celebrations. Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat, Union MoS (I/C) Shri Prahalad Singh Patel and Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rupani were present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering at Sabarmati Ashram, the Prime Minister noted the launch of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ 75 weeks before 15 August 2020 which will continue till 15 August, 2023. He paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and great personalities who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle.
