Select an Appropriate Pen

This is first and foremost thing needed to be cared while you are heading for an exam which deployed the OMR sheets. The OMR sheets are valued with the help of a computer-generated software which can identify the intensity of the marking in the OMR. So, if you are using a pen which is not having an identical flow of ink towards the paper, it may strategically affect the valuation of the same. Always prefer to have ball pens while you select to fill the OMR. Most of the examination guidelines give what kind of pen you need to use in an OMR exam itself. But if the guidelines are not there, you just prefer to have a ball pen which is strictly of black or blue. No other colour is preferred to be on the MOR sheet. About the ink, try to avoid the gel ink type of pen during your OMR exam.

Mark Your Register Number or Roll Number Specified by the Location of Bubbles.

The OMR sheet has two parts which contains two identical barcodes across a portion to tear the Sheet into two. Upon the upper part of the barcode, we will be provided space to mark our register number or roll number. These roll numbers are sometimes written along with bubbled. The location of the bubble will be like a table where numbers and inscribed in the bubble like a column of the table just below the box you need to write your register number or roll number. So, understand the position of the bubble corresponding to the box of your register number and bubble it. Don’t go in a speedy or in a reluctant manner while you fill your roll number. If it is wrong the entire exam is having no use.

Round the Outer Circle, then Fill the Bubble

The most of the confused question or confusion regarding the bubbling of the OMR is to how to bubble the OMR answers. The most common mistakes that usually encounter is, the bubble may be filled with too ink or with little ink or it may be roughly marked with the ink which go beyond the bubble to the outer area. These common mistakes can be eradicated by the following instructions and care while you fill the OMR:

  1. Fix the answer so as the bubble you want to fill.
  2. Mark a point inside the centre of the bubble so as not to confuse about the bubble later.
  3. Draw a circle along the edge of the bubble with your pen.
  4. Then fill your bubble from the edge you draw to the centre you marked.
  5. Don’t rotate the pen outer wise or in opposite direction. It will lead to the intensity change of the bubble.
  6. Just one filling is enough don’t try to fill more against the same bubble you have already filled.

Make your hand position correctly.

The position of your hand is totally important while you fill your OMR sheet. If the position is not right it can tamper the OMR sheet so as your answer in so many ways. Locate and move your hands in the following ways to avoid the mistakes and unforeseen events that could happen:

  1. Always start to bubble from the top to the bottom not from bottom to the top. Or else your hand will move along the bubble you have already filled and could possibly smudge the bubble and spread the ink towards other bubbles.
  2. If you are more sweating person, the sweat from the hand may wet the sheet and make the ink spread in the subsequent bubbling. So, try to keep a tissue (if the examiner permits) and place your hand above that while you bubble the answers.

If you know each and everything about filling the OMR and are so tensed while doing so, the chances of getting an error or tampering the OMR is too high. Even if you don’t know the OMR tips and tricks, if you are confident enough to do so, your common sense will work and this kind of caution may come to your mind automatically. So be confident while you fill the OMR sheets and it make a big difference.
