What to Carry on the Date of the HPPSC HPAS Exam?
The Commission lets the candidates to only carry the HPPSC HPAS Admit Card along with a valid ID proof. In any case these documents are missing, the candidate will be not allowed to enter the exam hall. Along with the HPPSC HPAS Hall ticket, candidates must carry any one of the following identity proofs in the exam hall:
- Aadhar Card
- Voter ID card
- Passport
- Driving License
- Pan Card
- Any other Government approved ID proof.
What Not to Carry on the Date of the HPPSC HPAS Exam?
The candidates attending for the examination are not allowed to carry certain things and documents along with them. If any of the prohibited items listed below are found, the candidate’s exam for this year is cancelled immediately without any prior notice.

HPPSC HPAS Exam Pattern 2022
The HPPSC HPAS exam pattern for the Preliminary exam and Main written exam is rather different. The weightage of marks, marking scheme, and the number of papers is different for each exam. The HPPSC HPAS exam pattern has been described in detail below:
HPPSC HPAS Preliminary Exam Pattern
- The exam will be two papers of 200 marks each and a total of 400 marks.
- Each paper will be of 200 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of ⅓ marks of the prescribed marks per question.
- No deductions are done for unattended questions.

HPPSC HPAS Personality Test/ Interview
The last stage in the selection process is the Personality Test/ Interview. The personality test is held for 150 marks by the Commission. Candidates should have knowledge of the local languages spoken in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Centric issues of the state, and other basic regional information. The final list of candidates chosen for the HPAS post majorly based on the Mains Exam and the Viva-Voce.
