1. Method of Appointment

Direct Recruitment. The selection will be made through direct recruitment by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

2. Age Limit

• Candidates must be aged 22–36 years.
• Only those born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2003 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
• Age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities (OBC) and SC/ST categories as per government norms.

3. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.

4. Equivalent Qualifications

• Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to the specified qualification will also be accepted.
• Qualifications that pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification required for the post will also be considered.
• Candidates must produce the relevant Government Orders declaring equivalency at the time required by the Commission.

5. Training

• Every person appointed to the post shall undergo in-service training for one year.
• The period of training will be counted for all service benefits.

Kerala PSC Assistant Electrical Inspector 2025 Vacancy 

The vacancies for the post are anticipated, meaning positions will be filled as and when reported by the department. A rank list will be prepared and will stay active for a minimum of one year, with a maximum validity of three years or until a new list is published.

As per current government guidelines, 4% of reported vacancies will be reserved for eligible candidates with disabilities, in line with G.O.(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
