Madhya Pradesh Public Selection Comission or MPPSC is likely to revise the Assistant Professor 2017 Recruitment Result as it has received a letter from higher Education department regarding revision of posts in PH or Physically handicapped Category.The MPPSC received a letter from higher education department following a court a order requesting the revision of Physically Handicapped Post vacancy from 243 to 384 in the Assistant Professor 2017 Recruitment.

The court had ordered the department to calculate the seats of PH category on approved strength of assistant professors in the state and not on advertised posts. The higher education department has sent a letter revising posts in PH or Physically Handicapped category from 243 to 384 in assistant professor 2017 recruitment examination. The MP commission after examining revised posts sent it back to the higher education department with a couple of enquirers related to women reservation and others. Madhya Pradesh PSC OSD R Panchbhai had said that the commission would revise results for AP-2017 recruitment examination after receiving response from the Higher education department.On the question of its effect, Panchbhai said that the result will be affected for sure with increase in seats for PH category and there might also be migration, addition, elimination of aspirants from the selection list.
The recruitment started in December 2017, when advertisement for 3443 posts of assistant professors was released. The posts also included backlog posts for various categories. The recruitment examination however faced multiple challenges regarding wrongful computation of women reservation, Physically Handicapped reservation and others.
Around 2572 qualified aspirants were issued appointment letters in the year 2019 and are already working as assistant professors in various reputed colleges across the state for the higher education department.
