National Flower as a Symbol

The national flower is the representation of the culture, tradition, power, vitality and tradition of each country. The national flower is the representation of each country. The national flower has many meanings and significance and it is associated with the art and literature of each country.

Nation symbols especially the national flower can act as a vehicle for carrying the identity of each country. The National Flower of India

The Nelumbo Nucifera Gaertn, also known as Lotus is the national flower of India.
The lotus was preferred as the national flower as it possessed a significant presence in ancient traditions, scriptures and mythology. The Bhagavad Gita recognizes it as a metaphor for detachment. Just as the lotus remains intact by the murky waters in which it grows, each individual should arise over worldly pleasures and belongings. It symbolizes an emotional principle of isolation from the materialistic approach of world

Significance of Lotus Flower

In Hinduism and ancient Hindu mythology, a lotus flower has importance for the Hindu goddesses, Vishnu and Lakshmi are usually represented standing on a pink lotus blossom and the goddess Saraswati manages to be depicted on a white lotus. God Vishnu is also expressed as the “Lotus-Eyed One”.
Implying spiritual beauty that arises from the dirt into a beautiful flower, a lotus flower also describes the purity of body, speech and mind in Buddhism and the moral principles of humanity and human existence in tranquility. As the flower floats above muddy waters, it also represents attachment and desire hence a flower that is adored by one and all.
