SSC CPO Online Application 2024: Check How to Apply SSC

The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) conducts all India Recruitment examination for Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF. Graduates below 25 years are eligible for these posts. Job security and high pay attract make these jobs one of the favourites among the applicants. Interested candidates can apply for these posts through the SSC official websites. Here we are discussing the step by step procedure of SSC CPO online application.

SSC CPO 2024 Eligibility

• Education: Graduation in any Discipline. For SI in Delhi Police, male candidates must possess a valid
  Driving License for LMV.
• Age: The age limit of the candidates should be from 20 to 25. Age relaxations according to the government norms are applicable.

SSC CPO 2024 Selection

SSC CPO 2024 Selection process has two stages of written examinations, physical efficiency test, and physical endurance test, followed by the medical test before the final selection. The first stage/Paper-01 is a Computer Based Test(CBT), and the successful candidates from this CBT should appear for the Physical Efficiency Test(/Physical Endurance Test). The PET is mandatory to all and of qualifying nature only. The successful candidates from the PET will be called for the Paper-II. The mandatory medical test is the final stage in the screening process.

• For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For male candidates only

• 100-meter race in 16 seconds
• 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump- 3.65 meters in 3 chances
• High Jump- 1.2 meters in 3 chances
• Shot put (16 Lbs)- 4.5 meters in 3 chance

For female candidates only

• 100-meter race in 18 seconds
• 800-meter race in 4 minutes
• Long Jump- 2.7 meters in 3 chances
• High Jump- 0.9 meters in 3 chances

PST/ PET will not carry any marks but will be of qualifying nature.

Paper-2

• Subject – English language & Comprehension
• Maximum Marks – 200
• Number of Questions – 200
• Exam Duration – 02 hours

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Medical Standards

• Eyesight: The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).
  The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both
  eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve
  visual acuity.
• The candidate with knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes are not eligible
  and they should possess high color vision.
• Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defects.
• A tattoo depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in
  Indian Army is permitted. Its size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

The SSC CPO applications can be made through online mode only. Candidates can find the SSC CPO online application on the SSC Official website. SSC CPO Online application procedure has two steps:

CPO Online Application: One Time Registration

To start your application, candidates must register themselves in the One Time Registration. For One-time Registration, click on the Register Now link provided in Login Section on the SSC official website: SSC. 

To register yourself make sure you have a valid email id, mobile number, and digital copy of your photograph, and signature.  On One Time Registration, you need to enter your basic details, including matriculation or SSLC registration number and should upload the photograph and signature. Once you enter all the basic pieces of information and click on the save icon your Registration Number will be displayed on the screen. Your Registration Number and Password will be sent to you on your mobile number and Email ID. Save those details for future uses.

Login using your Registration Number as username and the password provided to you. Change your password, if you wish. After the registration process, the “Basic Details” can be changed only twice.

How to Apply SSC CPO? Online Application

• Login to the SSC Official website through your Registration Number and password: SSC
• Under the “Apply” tab click on the “CAPF” tab.
• Your basic details will get automatically update on the application form, you need to select whether you are in the EWS section or not.
• Select your desired choices of examinations. You can select up to three centers.
• Fill your highest qualification.
• Indicate your Ex-Servicemen and departmental candidates’ eligibility if applicable.
• Check the declaration and click on the “I agree” checkbox and fill up the Captcha code.
• Preview and verify the information and submit the Application.
• Unreserved male candidates have Rs.100/ as application fees. Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan
