Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Central Police Organisation (CPO) has released the SSC CPO notification on its official website on June 17 2020. The selection process are on going . SSC CPO Preparation Strategy and Tips 

Let us look through in depth the eight prime preparation techniques that are very essential to crack the SSC CPO exam. The six strategies that we will be emphasizing here are

1) Be well acquainted with the exam pattern and selection procedure.

2) A thorough knowledge on the syllabus of the exam as it is a mandatory strategy in the preparation of the exam. Understand the weightage for each topic so that the necessary topics can be stressed on more.

3) The importance of the selection of appropriate referring study materials for preparation.

4) Check for the cut off marks of previous years. Understand the minimum score required. Make not of the papers that require high score and work on it more.

6) How effective and important is the practice you gain from answering mock test. Efficacy of the mock tests can be experienced only if it is taken appropriately.

7) Check for previous year papers. Solve them on a regular basis and work more on weak areas.

  • Candidates must understand the stages involved in the selection procedure and strategize his preparation accordingly.
  • The Selection process of SSC CPO examination comprises of the following phases. Paper-1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-2, Detailed Medical Examination (DME),Document Verification.

2. Know the syllabus – ‘When you know better, you do better’

After having a thorough knowledge of selection procedure and exam pattern, aspirants should know the syllabus of the exam, the topics included under each section of the exam. The most important topics (from where questions are asked frequently) should also be noted.

4. Be aware of the cut marks required to be qualified for next stage

It is very important to be well aware of cut off marks so that you can have a specific target when preparing for each paper. The Staff selection commission releases the cut off of CPO in three different stages

  • The first stage is the cut off Paper 1 examination
  • The second stage is the cut off of Paper 2 examination
  • The third is the combined cut off Paper 1 and Paper 2 Examination
