Assistant Director (Scientific “C”) | (i) Aspirant must have Master’s Degree in Botany or Zoology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science or Physical Anthropology or Genetics and (ii) He/She must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Botany or Zoology as one of the subject from a recognized University or Institute. |
Senior Scientific Officer (Scientific “B”) | (i) The aspirant must have Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Biochemistry or Forensic Science and (ii) He/she must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized University or Institute. |
Senior Lecturer (Forensic Medicine) | (i) The aspirant must have a basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. UPSC Recruitment 2022: How to Apply?
The applicants must follow to steps given below to apply for the posts successfully.
Step 1: Log in to the official website www.upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: On the main page, click on the link which says, “ONLINE RECRUITMENT APPLICATION (ORA) FOR VARIOUS RECRUITMENT POSTS”.
Step 3: Select the post which you want to apply for and hit on the apply now button.
Step 4: Read the important instruction and click on next.
Step 5: Get yourself registered, fill out the application form, attach required documents and click on submit.
Step 6: Take its printout for future reference.
Application Fees
Aspirants are required to pay a fee of INR. 25/- (Indian Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI or by using a credit/debit visa/master card. No fee will be charged for SC/ST/PwBD/Women aspirants of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to male candidates belonging to Gen/OBC/EWS male categories and they are required to pay the full fee as prescribed.

The selection process consists of two phases:
Phase I: Written Test
Phase II: Interview
UPSC Recruitment 2022: Responsibility to be assigned to each post
- Assistant Geophysicist:Assisting the Geophysicist in acquisition, preparation of the scientific paper, processing and interpretation of geophysical data, airborne and marine surveys for six months every year, executing field programmes adopting different geophysical methods using sophisticated instruments in remote areas, or any related work as assigned.
- Assistant Chemist: Analytical work relating to rocks, alloys allied materials, minerals, ores, metals, and assaying of precious metals
- Assistant Director: The major nature duties include visiting the scene of the crime, examination of crime exhibits; attending the court of law as an expert,imparting training to various investigating agencies and other administrative work required for the up-gradation of FSL and works assigned by the higher authorities, taking an active part in research and development.
- Senior Scientific Officer: The major duties include visiting the scene of the crime, examination of crime exhibits; imparting training to various investigating agencies and other administrative work required for up-gradation of FSL and works assigned by the higher authorities, attending the court of law as an expert, taking an active part in research and development.
- Senior Lecturer: The duties of the Senior Lecturer (Forensic Medicine) will be to teach the MBBS students and Post-graduate students, paramedical staff, training of interns and research work
- Sub Divisional Engineer:In charge of Sub Division. Supervising and Execution of the maintenance and provision of Public Health Services, Storm Water, Provision of Drainage System, in the residential /non-residential buildings located in the Union Territory, Chandigarh.
