RRB SSE Age Limit 

• The minimum age limit to apply for SSE posts is between 20-34 years.
• Age relaxation for the candidates will be permitted based on the Central Government Rules.
• Age relaxation varies for every category. 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for Ex-Servicemen.

• Four years Bachelor’s Degree in (a) Civil Engineering or a combination of any sub stream of Basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution

Section Engineer – Mechanical (Workshop), Carriage & Wagon, Dsl Mechanical, Dsl Electrical, J&T (Jig & Tools), Drawing & Design – Mechanical

Four years Bachelor’s Degree in

• (a) Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control/ Tools & Machining /Tools & Die making / Automobile / Production Engineering, or
• (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control / Tools & Machining / Tools &Die Making / Automobile / Production Engineering from a Recognized University/ Institute.

The Pay Band and Grade Pay for the post of Senior Section Engineer, SSE is Rs. 9300-34800, with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-.

RRC Senior Section Engineer Selection Process 2022

RRB Board follows a strategy for the selection of the students. The selection will include the following stages.

• Online Exam (Computer Based Test) –Selection will be merit-based and will be on the basis of an online (Computer Based) examination. There will be a negative marking in the CBT examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question.The exam duration will be 120 minutes.Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT, the candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification in the main list.

The appointment of selected candidates will be done only after they pass the requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates will also be done.
