The validity of IELTS score for Germany is two years. If the aspirant appears for examination twice in a year then the latest score will be considered for admission. The minimum IELTS band score required for admission in undergraduate courses in Germany is IELTS band 6.0 with sectional scores in Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening being band 5.5 each. For an admission to postgraduate course, the candidate’s IELTS score range must be 6.0-6.5. Students score should not be less than 5.5 in the sectional components. Some German universities also take scores between 4.5-6.5.

The IELTS Exam: An Overview
To fare well in IELTS, one should have a clear idea about the test. Let us have a look at the features of the test.
- IELTS scores are given on a scale from 1 to 9.
- The hearing section consists of 40 questions that has to be answered in 30 minutes. The reading and writing segments consist of 40 questions to be answered in 60 minutes each, and the speaking segment has two questions to be answered in 11 to 14 minutes.
