The IT company in a clear advertisement has spread down the criteria for various posts in which it is hiring people and has requested applications from the candidates. Application & Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the job, a candidate must have a minimum total of 60% in all exams since Class X on the first attempt. A maximum of one pending backlog in the highest qualification is allowed at the time of applying which should be cleared if selected. Only those candidates that have graduated from full-time courses are eligible; minimum age criteria is 18 years; applicants with more than three years of work background are not eligible for these placements; and the gap in education or employment, if applicable, must not surpass two years and should be attended by a valid reason.

Aptitude Test
It consists of four rounds:
a. email writing (1 question, 10 minutes)
b. quantitative ability and reasoning ability (20 questions, 40 minutes)
c. programming language efficiency (10 questions, 20 minutes)
d. coding test (1 question, 20 minutes)
Email Writing
You will be provided instructions and a set of keywords. Follow the same directions, and use all the keywords in the same order as listed in the question. Omit all unneeded details from your email. Your answer should be a minimum of 50 words; the perfect length is 70-80 words.
Sometimes, the word length is noted in the question. Avoid spelling errors and typos, big words, and complex sentences, keep the writing brittle and to the point, and remember to use official standards for salutation and signing off.
Analytical Reasoning
This section examines your quantitative and reasoning ability. Time management is critical. Try and solve the easy questions first before trying the difficult ones. Certain ‘star’ questions carry more marks; don’t get stuck on these unless you are confident of solving them fast since it could upset your time management. Rather, replace after solving the easy questions.
Programming Language Efficiency
This is a new round presented by TCS where candidates must answer 10 multiple choice questions on C language based on basic programming ideas.
Coding Test
This test is of the Command-Line Programming type where candidates are needed to solve one programming question in 20 minutes in C language using an inbuilt online compiler. Ready for basic programs like leap year GCD, Fibonacci series, HCF, LCM, odd/ even series, etc.

Personal Interviews
This contains three rounds—technical, managerial, and HR. The managerial round may be skipped depending on the discretion of the employers.
Technical Round
Select two parts or technologies as your specialization and study them in-depth including new versions and updates. Cover the general programming ideas. Knowledge of the C language is a plus point. Be ready for detailed questions on the projects you’ve worked on. You could also be requested to write programs during the interview.
Managerial Round
This is a stress interview planned to gauge your reaction to a pressure situation. Expect brain teasers, deliberate steps to overcome you, skepticism, and emotional intimidation. Much depends on your interviewer.
HR Round
This is where they evaluate things like your attitude and fitment in the company, apart from advising you about the terms and conditions of employment. Expect standard HR questions on why you want to join the company, why you think you’re a better option than other candidates, your strengths and weaknesses, apart from behavioral questions.

Job Description
Vacancy for Java developers at TCS having 2.5+ years of experience at multiple locations.
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates with a full-time qualification are only qualified (No Part Time/ Correspondence qualification candidates are eligible).
• Candidates should have the lowest score of 50% in their academics (SSLC/ HSC/ Diploma/ UG/ PG if applicable).
• Candidates with appropriate IT experience of 2.5 years to 8 years.
• Candidates will also be strained as per TCS Employment Criteria.
