While you listen to native speakers, you would naturally fall for the expressions and phrases that make their speaking style more unique. Such peculiar expressions are called idioms. While native English language users speak casually, they tend to use more idioms in their conversations. Idioms like Spill the beans (to give away the secret), under the weather ( to feel ill), in the blink of an eye( very fast), Through thick and thin ( to be loyal no matter what), it’s a piece of cake( it’s easy), Once in a blue moon (rarely), Jump on the bandwagon (following a trend), etc can add a pinch of salt to your level of sophistication.
