Income Tax Department of India has released the official notification regarding the recruitment of meritorious sports persons in various posts. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the application via offline mode on or before 15 April 2021. Income Tax Delhi Recruitment 2021 focuses to fill a total of 14 vacancies in the post of Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Stenographer Grade-II and Multi-Tasking Staff. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. For Income Tax Inspectors
Degree from a recognized University or equivalent
2. For Tax Assistants
(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent
(ii) Having Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key depressions per hour
3. For Stenographer Grade II 
(i) 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university
(ii) Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
(iii) Transcription: 50 words per minute (English) or 65 words per minute (Hindi) (Only on Computer)
4. For Multi Tasking Staff
(i) 10th class pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university

Age Limit

Given below is the age criteria for different posts respectively,

• For Inspector of Income Tax : 18 to 30 years
• For Tax Assistant/ Stenographer/ Multi Tasking Staff : 18 to 27 years

Age relaxation to those candidates belonging to General/OBC categories : 5 years
Age relaxation to candidates belonging to ST/SC : 10 years

Sports Eligibility

Candidates are selected based on the following criteria. Applicants must have represented,

• A State or the Country in a National or International Competition in any of the games/sports such as Kabbadi, Athletics, Football, Hockey, Golf, Body Builder or Cricket or,
•  Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the games/sports as mentioned above or,
• The State Schools Team in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by All India School Games
  Federation in any of the games/sports above or
• Sportsperson who has been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Note : Candidates are requested to submit proof regarding the participation and qualification on the afore mentioned sports items.  Please check the official notification to get a clear idea of documents that are required.

Vacancy Details

A total of 14 seats in various posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. The distribution of seats are listed below,

• Income Tax Inspectors : 01 seat
• Tax Assistants : 04 seats
• Stenographer Grade II : 03 seats
• Multi Tasking Staff : 06 seats

Selection Process

• Applicants who meet the desired educational qualification as well as sports eligibility will be scrutinized and suitable candidates will be selected for further proceedings.
• Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to the final interview.
• Shortlisted candidates may be called out to undergo Field or Proficiency Test as well.

Interested and eligible candidates must submit the application for Income Tax Delhi Recruitment 2021 via offline mode. Applicants should download the application form attached to the original recruitment notification. The form can be downloaded from the official website of Income Tax Department of India or from the links given here.

Fill all the information requested in the form and completed application must be sealed and send to the address given below,

The Deputy Commissioner of Income-tax (Hqrs.-Personnel), Room No. 378A, C.R. Building, I.P. Estate, New Delhi-110 002 by post/by hand on or before 15 April 2021.

Note : (30 April 2021 for candidates domiciled in North Eastern States, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala).

Also, clearly note the following on the cover of the envelop,

“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF INSPECTOR / TAX ASSISTANT/ STENOGRAPHER GRADE II/ MULTI TASKING STAFF UNDER SPORTS QUOTA.
